General Information

| Our Captain. Our incoming captain Paul Mulgrew will probably
need his sense of humour to help him survive in the coming year.
Paul joined the society in 1999 and made his first appearance as a
member at Carnalea. He had a very successful season and won the
Golfer of the Year and M’Callin trophies. He retained the
Golfer of the Year trophy in 2000 and has picked up a fair share of
prizes since then including a couple of Overall wins at Down Royal
and Carnbeg. He was elected to the committee in 2000 and has served
there since. |
| Our President. Jim M'Alister has been a member of the society
from its earliest days, has served on the committee,been secretary
from 1979 to 1982 and was captain in 1984. He has picked up plenty
of section prizes but his win at Dungannon Captain's Day in 1987 was
probably the highlight of his successes, although his 42 points at
Dungannon in 1995(6 ahead of his nearest rival) must have run it
close. He has had 2 other Overall wins at Mourne and Down Royal.
Being president of the society has improved Jims golf a lot, as he
notched up two more Overall wins in 2003 at Massereene and Bright.

| AGM At the year 2003 AGM the incoming committee were elected
and Johnny Dobbin is a new addition to the team. Paul Mulgrew is our
new captain and is looking forward to the challenges he will face.
Seamus Fay and Joe Loughran had an- nounced at the end of last year
that they would like a rest from committee duties and the work they
put in is appreciated by the society. Prionnsias is our new
secretary and John Dobbin the new treasurer. The society is in good
financial health but there are problems ahead for the committee.
