Jim M'Alister rounded off a very successful season when he returned 36 points to win the Overall prize. Sam M'Garry with 34 won the Low section while Gerry Kerrs' 33 took the Mid section with a better Back9 than Joe Loughran who also scored 33 points. Stevie O'Brien easily won the High section with 33 and had the best score of 20 on the last nine holes but had to be content with one prize only. Joe Loughran got the Front9 prize with 19 points and James Duggan on 19 points took the Back9 with 19 with Peter Raffert being the unlucky loser. Paul Mulgrew won the Golfer of the Year and M'Callin competitions despite a relatively poor round as none of his challengers produced a good enough score to catch him.
COMPETITIONS Sponsored by
Proinnsias Byrne and Fruithill Social Club
The Hannigan was conceded by Seamus Fay to James Duggan due to the sudden death of Seamus' wife. Seamus has obviously had more than enough to contend with in looking after his family and we would hope to see him in the new year. In the Magowan Fourball Seamus Evans and Stevie M'Laughlin overcame the challenge of Paul Mulgrew and Pat M'Corry to register their second win in this competition.
