Paul M'Quillan won the Weekend outings in 1985,1995 and last year so he should not be in the reckoning this year. Well that's what I wrote and I was wrong. Paul M'Quillan won the Weekend trip again this year with a two-day total of 54 points. Whether the low scoring was due to tough courses or bad weather I do not know as I was in Killarney playing two equally tough courses at Beaufort and CastleIsland with Pat Hughes. I would recommend CastleIsland only to golfing masochists who don't mind playing courses that have fairways starting 150 yards from the tees, but the greens are fabulous. Thanks once again to Paul Gormley for providing the photos.

JIM M'ALISTER Photos
Presidents Day for Jim M'Alister did not bring good conditions on or off the course. Fortyeight members and visitors turned up on a wet morning to find the Pros Shop closed and few facilities available. The weather got even worse later on and most players were glad to get off the course into dry conditions where they did get an excellent meal and great service from the dining room staff. Ray O'Neill(36 points) won his first Overall prize since joining the society and Stevie M'Laughlin returned to form with 34 to win the Low. Michael Muldoon was another first time winner with 33 points in the Mid and John M'Clory got his first section prize in five years with 30 points in the High. Seamus Fays 19 points got him the Front9 while 16 was enough for Frank O'Rawes Back9 prize. The bonus of the day was a Hole in One by Liam M'Mullan.
MOYOLA 29th. June 13.00 Sponsored by
VINCENT MAGEE
Moyola attracted 40 members and visitors who enjoyed a tough course where the 31 points of Seamus Gormley got him the Overall winners prize. There were four players on 30 points and of these James Duggan won the Low section while John M'Clory took the High. Paul Gormley was the winner of the Mid section while Oliver M'Donald with 17 and Brendan M'Goldrick with 19 took the Front and Back Nine prizes. The win took Seamus Gormley to the top of the Golfer of the Year with 22 points and Marty Rea with 145 tops the M'Callin
