The opening outing was well attended with 44 members and visitors turning out in good conditions after the long spell of wet weather. Last years captain Prionnsias Byrne was the first winner of the year with 36 points which just beat Gerry Goodall and Johnny Dobbin who took the Low and High sectionns with 35 points. Sam M'Garry with 34 won the Mid and Ray O'Neill and Phil M'Fall were Front and Back9 winners with 18 and 21 points respectively. The meal was taken back at the Ballymac Inn and was top class as we always expect from our sponsor PByrne

Opened just a few years ago this was a new venue for the society with a journey to the Forkhill-Dundalk area to a course which should turn out to be very enjoyable when it matures. Apart from a cold wind conditions were excellent and club house facilities were good. Paul Mulgrew returned to form and his 32 points deprived Leo M'Court of the Top Prize. Leo also had 32 but Paul had a better back nine so Leo had to be content with the High section prize. Paul M'Quillan with 31 (11 and 20) took the Low section from Paul Gormley's 31(20 and 11) while Jim M'Cafferty was undisputed winner of the Mid with 31 points. Paul Gormley had the consolation of being the Front9 winner and Vincent Magee's 19 points gave him the Back9. PMulgrew

There was a good turnout of 42 members and visitors for our first visit to the Edenmore course. This is a tough parkland layout which will probably get even tougher as it matures. It was thus no surprise when Seamus Maguire, who is no stranger to the course, took the Overall prize with 33 points. Paul M'Quillan who is a member there won the Low with 31 points beating Marty Rea on a countback while Charlie French was outright winner of the Mid section with 28. Our President Jim M'Alister took the High with 31 points. John M'Clory with 17 won the Front9 and Paul Mulgrew with 18 the Back9
