Brendan M'Cann
Brendan M'Cann who was a member of the society from 1974 to 1988 died in May 2003. He was a well known photographer and an enthusiastic member of our society who served on the committee in the early years and helped to establish its reputation.
The following report appeared in the Irish News of the 20th. May 2004

The memory of the late Brendan M'Cann will live on in golf following the presentation of a Cavan Crystal Trophy for an annual event, the first instalment of which was played at the weekend when a team representing Ballyliffin Golf Club defeated the Press Golf Society 5-3.
The trophy was presented to the winners by Brendan's daughter Barbara M'Cann, also a keen golfer. The trophy has the image of photographer Brendan engraved on it.
Donegal was something of a spiritual home for Brendan, hence the involvement of the Ballyliffin club.
