| The society had another successful year under the captaincy of Frank O'Rawe who claimed credit for all the good things such as the weather but blamed everybody including
his poor old dog for anything that went wrong. |
| Paul M'Quillan ended as Golfer of the Year while Sean Evans and Stevie M'Laughlin shared the M'Callin Trophy. Pat M'Corry and John M'Clory won the Matchplay doubles for
the second year in succession and Joe Sloan won the singles competition. Sean Evans won the major prize on Captains day and Paul M'Quillan took the Presidents Prize. The prizes at the outings were
well distributed this year with no-one managing to win twice. The weekend outing to Bundoran was well supported and no complaints were heard about the venue or the accommodation or food as all were
first class. Billy M'Ilroy was the top golfer on the weekend. All arrangements were top class and Joe Loughran and Seamus Fay are due thanks for their efforts. |
| We now have just under 50 members and the average attendance was about 29 at each course. Highest score was 40, the average winning score was 35, and the average members
score was 26. Although the membership has reduced we are still extremely lucky with the sponsors we have. |
| This was a particularly sad year in that two of our past captains Carlo Fusco and Des Peden died suddenly. Both were very involved in the early days of the society and Des
also took on the duties of secretary and treasurer. Our sympathy goes to their families and also to Pat M'Corry and Paul M'Quillan who had family bereavements. |

| Waiting for the tee-off at Bundoran. Seamus Evans and Seamus Maguire in the sensible sweaters. |
