This was the last committee to be appointed by the captain as from the next annual meeting election of officers was to be the rule. It was agreed that as far as possible Four-Balls were to be changed at each outing and no member of the society should play with 3 nonmembers because of score card recording problems. In future applications for new membership were to be forwarded to the committee. If a member broke SSS in a Competition then his Handicap in cup competitions would be cut. Members must have played three outings to be eligible for Captain's prize. Membership at 30th April was 88 probably the highest ever achieved. Sean M'Kiernan resigned from the committee during the year but said he would continue to help in any way possible and Eugene Greenan was co-opted in his place.
The outing to Greenore would cost members £6. This consisted of £2 for Green fees, £2.50 for meal , £1 for the bus and £0.50 for the society. There was a loss of £97 on the outing but as the Society had £119 in the Bank there was no panic about the loss. Another bus outing to Ballycastle also cost the members £6 each and sustained a loss of £67 but was not considered any problem as everyone had enjoyed themselves so much! The annual Dinner Dance was held at the Greenan Lodge Hotel and also cost £6. It appeared that the treasurer liked to deal in nice round figures.
New trophies were again appearing and J. Murray donated the Weekend Trophy which was won by Danny M'Ilroy at Ardara. The Fruithill Trophy was presented for the first time and went to Dermot Donovan who also won the M'Gowan in partnership with Des M'Cavana. Unfortunately for Paddy Martin there was no special cup for him when he recorded the first "hole in one" by a member playing in a society outing at Dungannon, but he did have the consolation of taking the Presidents Cup on the day. Playing off a handicap of four he went round the course in sixty-eight shots (four under par) and ended with forty-four points. The round contained the hole in one, four birdies, eleven pars and two bogeys. Ironically his two bogeys came at par threes.
