A Weekend at Ardara was organized by Brian Bradley and sponsored by J. Murray and J Crawford with the cost set at £13 with golf fees included. Twenty members attended. With those prices it was not surprising that a second weekend sponsored by Tommy Lundy was organized later in the year and took place in Bundoran. The bus outing to Rossmore was hit at the last minute when the driver was allegedly intimidated and refused to bring the bus to the Falls Club venue. It was only by the efforts of Tommy Hannigan that another bus was obtained at very short notice. This bus was pretty decrepit and Danny M'Ilroy distinguished himself as an entertainer on the journey. Membership was 64 in June and at the Ballycastle bus outing a record number of 70 members and visitors turned out. A Competition against Strathmore Society was organized with the captain and 16 others playing against their Strathmore opponents. Fruithill won. A Trophy had been bought jointly with Strathmore and cost £40.
The first captain's day in Falls club after golf had taken place at Massereene was a resounding success. Membership at the end of year was 76 and lead to a discussion on restricting membership in the future as not too many courses were keen on such a large number on Sunday outings. At the Cairndhu outing Basil M'Laughlin won a hairdryer and the Senior member attended every outing of the year. Carlo Fusco commented on the prizes at Lurgan which were very worthwhile though he questioned the carpet sweeper prize??
Although the society was generally very lucky in regard to the weather the Warrenpoint outing in October was arranged three times before finally taking place. The Tuborg cup was presented by Bass-Charrington. The handicap committee finally caught up on Danny M'Ilroy who was cut to 18 after a phenomenal run of success which included taking the Golfer of the Year prize and Des Peden won the Hannigan.
The Annual Dinner Dance took place in Balmoral at a cost of £3.50 per person and was mentioned in the AGM as one of the highlights of the season.
